Bio
From the local church, for the local church. That is a statement that describes the David Hill Trio.
David Hill forged a national ministry several years ago when he was a part of already established and popular acts like Gold City, The Perrys, and The Nelons. After hitting the road for a few years as a soloist – David started to miss the concept of singing in a group.
His wife Amanda, who had filled in for groups like The Perrys and The Nelons, was an experienced vocalist. Her crystal-clear soprano voice and ability to communicate a song made her an obvious choice for this new venture.
After a prayer meeting at church – David and Amanda heard a strong alto singing behind them. After getting to know this talented singer, Stephanie Lindsey, David had a completed trio. Her infectious personality and equally engaging voice made her a great fit for this new ministry – aptly called the David Hill Trio.
During a time when some consider it to be “out of style” and “offensive” to share the message of the cross, the blood and repentance, emerges a group that does just that.
“I don't want to sound too cliche', but we do this for three reasons,” mentioned David. “One, we want to praise and worship Jesus Christ. Two, we want to encourage Christians, and three, we want to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are strongly motivated by the fact that we have been commissioned to go and do what we do.”
Unashamedly, the David Hill Trio stands on platforms wherever they are invited and sing songs that point to the Lord Jesus Christ. This passion for ministry comes from each member’s relationship with their Savior and out of their relationship with their local church.
David continued, “There have been many proud moments that we’ve had since embarking on this journey, but if I had to choose one it would be a moment that takes place every time we go and minister. I do my absolute best to make sure that we share the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere we go. I'm proud to have the privilege of doing that.”
When asked about the future of the group – it remains clear that the David Hill Trio really only has one thing in mind: ministry.
“I see us continuing this work that we're doing now, but at the same time expanding our borders,” shared Hill. “Hopefully, we will continue to improve as musicians and become more effective as ministers. My prayer is that we will always keep in the forefront of our minds the fact that we are to never waste an opportunity to minister effectively. “
